Title: How Indigenous Women Experience and Respond to Climate Change in Sri Lanka: a Gender Perspective  (2024-2025)

This study aims to understand how Sri Lankan Indigenous women experience and respond to climate change using three research questions: 1). How do Indigenous women experience climate change impacts? 2). How do Indigenous women respond to climate change impacts? 3). What limits and barriers to adaptation do Indigenous women in Sri Lanka face? We will use a community-based participatory approach with semi-structured interviews, focus-group discussions, and key-informant interviews as data collection methods. This study will help close the gap to understand specific challenges Indigenous women in Sri Lanka face to help build support networks and inform policy.
